On Monday, November 12th , 2007, our First Grand Principal, M.E.C. Charles Wolrige Gordon of Esslemont, laid the Northeast Corner Stone of the Activity Centre for orphans in the township of Dzivarasekwa in Harare . Present were also our Depute First Grand Principal, M.E.C. Ian Fraser, Past Depute First Grand Principal, M.E.C. Tom Frost and our Grand Scribe Ezra, M.E.C. Grahame Smith.
The 0,5 hectare plot and the architectural drawings have been funded by the Benevolent Fund of the Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Scotland.

In laying the Corner Stone, the First Grand Principal was assisted by the Zimbabwean Minister for Health and Child Welfare. Present were also the Ambassador of Sweden as well as representatives of the ministries of Education and Local Government, the City of Harare and various business enterprises and associations.
The Dzikwa Activity Centre will provide the 360 orphans with a modern kitchen for daily meals, a dining room which can also be used for extra lessons and entertainment, a computer class-room for 16 students, study rooms, a library and a counseling room. Also the accountant and the field officers will have their offices in the 560 sq.m. main building.
Dzikwa Trust Fund is a Finnish initiative which was started back in 1992 by our Grand Superintendent for Zimbabwe and Francistown , M.E.C. Seppo Ainamo.
